"If you cannot abide by our etiquette & rules then you are in the wrong dojo"

All students training suits, (gi) must be properly maintained and be in good order, laundered, and ironed.

Personal hygiene is of the utmost importance.

Outdoor footwear must be left in the changing area or neatly placed at the entrance of the dojo. Once inside the dojo indoor footwear, (I.e.: Zori) should be worn and then removed at the edge of the tatami, (mat). No footwear whatsoever is to be worm on the tatami.

All jewellery must be removed prior to training; this is to prevent injuries occurring to you or any other student training with you.

Toe and fingernails should be kept to a reasonable length and kept clean.

Should any item of your clothing require adjusting you should drop on one knee, this signifies that you are temporarily not to be engaged.

Do not enter the dojo half dressed.

You should not fold your arms or clasp your hands behind your back, these actions are deemed disrespectful and leave you open to attack.

Mobile phones must be switched off prior to entering the dojo.

Should you wish to leave or join the tatami during the lesson you must seek your instructor’s permission.

Smoking, drinking, and eating are not permitted in the dojo.

Visitors, spectators, and parents should keep noise to the absolute minimum so as not to distract the students or interfere with the class in progress
