Welcome to the dynamic art of Bushin Kenpo. Bushin Kenpo is a multi-styled martial art and personal safety system which has been developed to teach the practitioner how to competently defend or counter attack against an aggressor using avoidance movements, redirection of attackers force, parries, arresting techniques, strikes and kicks, throws and leg sweeps.
In our Bushin system, we believe that counter attacking is our best form of defence and we will do whatever we deem necessary to annul our attacker using reasonable force while attempting to stay within the limits of the law.
The principles of our system are quite easy to learn and the classes are taught in a relaxed, friendly, but disciplined environment.
Beginners and experienced martial artist are all warmly welcomed in our BKK schools. Our friendly instructors are all highly experienced in a multitude of martial arts styles, including Kempo/Kenpo, Goshin Ryu Jujitsu, Karate, Judo, Aikido, Hapkido, Chi Ryu, Ki-jutsu, Tai-Kwon-do, Kobudo, and many more. Our founder and principal instructor Professor David Wilson is a master of several styles and a qualified personal Training Instructor. David is also a Close Quarter Combat instructor who has taught on hundreds of international seminars in the UK and abroad, and many police establishments throughout Europe.
All our Bushin Kenpo Instructors and Assistant Instructors have been CRB Police Checked and carry Enhanced Disclosure Certificates. These documents are available upon request.
Newcomers to our classes are encouraged to work at a pace best suited to them while slowly building up their fitness, speed, flexibility, and confidence.
Along with traditional Kenpo our Bushin system has been designed to teach the student how to cope with the mode of violence prevalent within our society today.

This video is a compilation of clips taken from training sections at our dojo in South Darenth, Kent back in 2007. much of this video deals with redirection of the attacker force before applying our counter measures. I also added some clips from 2006 of Stuart and I demonstrating some throws.
