Our Kenpo Cadets program is designed for children aged 5 to 14 years old although the start age is at the school instructor’s discretion.

Along with traditional Kenpo, these programs have been designed to teach children how to defend themselves and escape from a variety of potentially dangerous situations.

In addition to the physical aspects of our classes, our Bushin Kenpo system encourages children to develop as both an individual and a team player thus building respect for their fellow student.

The most obvious advantages of enrolling in our program are that over time, the child will learn various skills that in the event of an attack or assault their training may enable him or her to avoid, escape, or if necessary annul the attack. Other advantages of studying Bushin Kenpo are improved fitness, speed, and flexibility, improved mind and body co ordination, and learning to respect each other while working as a team.

Our children’s classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday, (no classes on the second Thursday of each month.) Children are welcome to watch a class in progress if a parent or guardian accompanies them. Should the child wish to join our classes the first lesson is free. It is advisable for the parent to stay during their child’s first lesson, as we won't both the child and their parent to be happy with our teaching and our training environment.

All junior lessons are of one-hour duration and cost £3.50 per child.

An annual membership fee is payable by the cadets third lesson which includes their member-to-member insurance, licence/grading book, and their Bushin Kenpo Kai school membership. This also includes the child's first training suit and Tiger patch.

Once your child has obtained membership it is possible to take advantage of our reduced monthly payment scheme which is payable on the first lesson of each month.
